Celebrating Pastor Ken Collins: A Faithful Servant Leader in Beasley, Texas
The San Felipe Baptist Association is thrilled to recognize Pastor Ken Collins of First Baptist Church, Beasley, Texas, as this week’s Pastor of the Week! Pastor Ken is a shining example of what it means to lead with humility, heart, and hands willing to serve wherever needed.
As a bi-vocational pastor, Pastor Ken faithfully balances the demands of ministry, work, and family—yet somehow still manages to pour his time, talent, and energy into the people of Beasley. If there were ever a “jack-of-all-trades” in ministry, Pastor Ken would wear that title proudly. He’s not only the preacher each Sunday but also the IT guy, social media manager, maintenance helper, and encourager-in-chief. Whatever the need, he’s there to meet it with a smile and a servant’s heart.
But perhaps what stands out most is his love for the community. Under his leadership, First Baptist Beasley has launched a powerful monthly outreach called “Beasley Kids.” What started as a small effort has grown into a ministry that now reaches 50–75 children each month at the local elementary school. With just a handful of faithful volunteers, they provide snacks, build relationships, and most importantly, share the gospel with young hearts.
Pastor Ken’s kindness, generosity, and steadfast faith are evident in every aspect of his ministry. His example reminds us that impact isn’t measured by the size of a congregation but by the faithfulness of those who serve.
Congratulations, Pastor Ken! Thank you for your tireless dedication to the Kingdom, your love for people, and your unwavering commitment to making Christ known in Beasley and beyond. Your example inspires us all.
