This week, the San Felipe Baptist Association is thrilled to celebrate Pastor Eric Moore as our Pastor of the Week, along with his wife Rene and their beautiful family. Pastor Eric serves as the pastor of First Baptist Bellville, and his leadership, generosity, and joyful spirit have made a remarkable impact on his church, community, and our entire Association.

Eric is a dynamic leader with a wide range of gifts. He is a passionate preacher and teacher who loves God’s Word and loves his church with his whole heart. Beyond the pulpit, Eric is also a talented musician and even a magician, often using creativity and humor to connect with people of all ages and point them to Christ. His ability to engage hearts and minds is a reflection of his deep desire to see people grow in their faith.

In just a few short years, Pastor Eric has led First Bellville through an incredible season of growth and vision. Under his leadership, the church built a new campus, paid it off in less than two years, and is already expanding—years ahead of the original master plan. This progress is a testament to Eric’s faith-filled leadership and his trust in what God can do through a united church.

Perhaps one of Eric’s most defining characteristics is his generosity. He is always available, always willing, and always ready to help. If someone is in need, Eric is often the first call—and the first to respond. His love for the Bellville community is evident in the way he leads his church to serve during times of need and to minister well beyond their walls.

Eric has also modeled generosity within the broader body of Christ, leading his church to give chairs to a sister church, volunteer to lead VBS, and support outreach efforts with other congregations. He is deeply loved by all who know him and is a tremendous blessing to his family, his church, his community, and our Association.
