This week, the San Felipe Baptist Association is delighted to honor Mike McGown, Lead and Founding Pastor of Parkway Fellowship, as our Pastor of the Week. Pastor Mike’s faithful leadership, joyful spirit, and unwavering commitment to Christ have made a lasting impact across the Fulshear, Katy, and Richmond communities.

As the founding pastor of Parkway Fellowship, Mike has helped shape a church culture that is warm, welcoming, and inviting to everyone. With campuses in both Fulshear and Katy, Parkway Fellowship continues to grow as a place where people can belong, be cared for, and encounter the life-changing message of the gospel. Mike leads with a shepherd’s heart, consistently pointing people toward hope, healing, and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

A proud Baylor graduate, Mike and his wife Amy are enthusiastic supporters of their beloved Baylor Bears. More importantly, they model a Christ-centered marriage and family life marked by love, faith, and service. Mike is a devoted husband and father who understands the importance of leading both at home and in the church with humility and grace.

Pastor Mike is deeply committed to counseling and support ministries, ensuring that those in need receive care that addresses them physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. His passion for holistic ministry reflects his belief that the church should be a place of refuge, restoration, and encouragement for people at every stage of life.

Known for his great sense of humor, contagious joy, and positive attitude, Mike brings energy and encouragement wherever he goes. Whether he’s hunting, spending time with family, or welcoming someone new to church, his joy in the Lord is always evident. His strong leadership and gospel-centered vision continue to inspire the communities he serves as Parkway Fellowship faithfully introduces new people to Christ.
