With Grateful Hearts: Celebrating Sofia Olmeda
With deep gratitude and thankfulness, we want to share an important update with our SFBA family. After a year of faithful service, Sofia Olmeda will be stepping into a new opportunity that strongly aligns with both her gifts and the needs of her family. While it is never easy to say goodbye, we are profoundly thankful for the time the Lord allowed us to serve alongside her.
From the moment Sofia joined our team, she embraced a brand-new role with humility, energy, and a genuine eagerness to learn. She adapted quickly and, during a significant season of leadership transition for our Association, proved to be instrumental. Her steady presence, joyful spirit, and servant’s heart brought both stability and encouragement when it mattered most.
Sofia is consistently kind, warm, and enthusiastic. She has been a shining example of selfless service—approaching every task with excellence and every person with care. We are truly better because of her contributions. Though her time with us has been brief, it has been deeply meaningful, and we thank God for every moment we had her on our team.
Sofia’s last day with SFBA will be February 28, 2026. She will be serving with one of our strategic partners, so she will not be far away, but she will be stepping into a role that will stretch her, refine her strengths, and allow her to use her many skills and wonderful personality in ways that will be both fulfilling for her and a true blessing to others.
You are encouraged to reach out and share your appreciation with Sofia by email (sofia@sfbatx.org) or by calling the office at 832.232.8556. You are also welcome to stop by the office to see her in person—she will be here until 4:00 PM on Thursday of this week.
We will miss her greatly, but we thank God for Sofia and for this new opportunity. We trust the Lord to bless her abundantly in the days ahead, especially as she steps forward in faith into this next season.
