On November 5, 2025, First Baptist Church of Richmond, Texas, hosted the 77th Annual Meeting of the San Felipe Baptist Association. Our Vision
The vision of the San Felipe Baptist Association is broken down into four elements that help focus our Association's ministry.
“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 15:5-6
Everything in our vision and strategy is built on the foundation of Collaborating in Christ - doing the work together He has called us to do - to REACH THE LOST, RAISE THE NEXT GENERATION OF CHURCH LEADERS, AND REVITALIZE THE CHURCH. Everything we do is always better when we do it TOGETHER!
“...Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you...” Matthew 28:18-20
This is the mission. Four simple directives- go, make, baptize, and teach.Simple, elegant, clear, compelling, and timeless. This simple mandate is why we are believers today. Someone carried out this mandate at some point in our lives and changed our eternity forever.
“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4
This is where our strategy of shared experiences, shared resources, and shared responsibilities can be beneficial. Many churches have a wealth of experience and expertise that is already a blessing to their congregation and could be a tremendous benefit to others within the association. Through intentional, collaborative efforts, we can develop strategies and mechanisms to help raise the next generation of church leaders.
“So the disciples determined, every one according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea. And they did so, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.” Acts 11:29-30
Churches experience various seasons throughout their ministry. Sometimes, a change in season brings significant challenges to the health and vitality of the local church. Assessing the impact of each season is important to the present and future ministry of the local church. Through collaborative efforts, regular assessments, and strategic partnerships, we can develop strategies to strengthen, revitalize, and guide churches through various seasons of change.
As we look forward to 2026, let us remember that the God who has called us to serve has promised to provide all that we need to accomplish the goals he has for us. Thank you for supporting the work of the San Felipe Baptist Association as we strive to serve, support, and resource the gospel impact of the local church!
