Why do we collaborate?

Why do we collaborate?

The gift of the body of Christ. - Thursday, January 15, 2026

Why We Collaborate—and Why You Should Join Us on January 31

The Church is an absolute gift from God. And because we know that the Father gives only “good” gifts (Matthew 7:11), we can be confident that the Church is a good and purposeful gift. Throughout Scripture, the Apostle Paul describes the Church as a body—many members, uniquely gifted, working together. When each part is healthy and doing its work, the whole body is built up, strengthened, and prepared for the good works God has already planned (Romans 12; Ephesians 2:10).

That picture of the body is a powerful illustration of collaboration. When the Church co-labors together, unity grows, disciples are made (Matthew 28:18–20), believers mature (Ephesians 4:11–16), and the next generation is equipped to carry the faith forward (Deuteronomy 6:4–9; Colossians 1:28).

This vision matters now more than ever. Nearly two million people currently live within the geographical boundaries of the San Felipe Baptist Association, and that number is projected to grow by almost 50% in the next decade. Communities are changing rapidly. Towns like Fulshear—now the fastest-growing city in America—are filling with people who need the hope of the gospel. The mission field is growing all around us.

So how will we reach them?

Jesus has already given us our marching orders: go, make, baptize, and teach. The Great Commission was never meant to be fulfilled alone. It is a shared calling—a Great Co-Mission. When we collaborate in Christ, God is glorified, the Church is strengthened, and lives are transformed.

That’s why we invite you to the 2026 Church Strengthening Conference on January 31, 2026. This free, one-day gathering (lunch included!) is designed to equip lay leaders, encourage churches, and unite us around the mission God has given us. It’s an opportunity to share ideas, resources, struggles, and victories—and to start the year focused on reaching the lost, raising the next generation of leaders, and revitalizing the Church.

Leadership Matters. Collaboration Multiplies.
This conference is a tangible expression of that truth.
