A Time To Be ThankfulEmbracing Grace and Gratitude This Thanksgiving - Wednesday, November 26, 2025 As the holiday season approaches, Thanksgiving serves as a gentle reminder to pause and reflect on all that we have to be thankful for. It marks the beginning of a season filled with gatherings, food, and yes, the sometimes overwhelming barrage of advertisements and sales pushing us to buy more, do more, and prove our love through material things. The echoes of the Charlie Brown Christmas Special come to mind, where we are reminded of the commercialization of the holiday season. Yet, amid the noise and rush, Thanksgiving gives us the opportunity to slow down and focus on the true blessings in our lives. This year has brought many changes to our churches- new pastors stepping into leadership, others facing financial struggles, and some celebrating the joy of a year that was neither too hard nor too easy, but simply good. And that in itself is something to be grateful for. While we often get swept up in the busyness of the season, Thanksgiving calls us to stop, breathe, and reflect on the immeasurable grace and mercy we’ve received from the Lord.In the spirit of gratitude, let us remember to praise God, especially in the challenging times. It’s easy to give thanks when everything is going well, but true gratitude shines brightest in the midst of adversity. We have much to be thankful for in our Association: the faithful pastors who lead with passion and integrity, the churches that collaborate for the spread of the Gospel, and the community that grows stronger each year.As we enter the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, let us not forget to take moments to reflect on the goodness of God, who has been with us every step of the way. May we enter this season with thankful hearts, ready to embrace all that is good, and give glory to God in all circumstances.Happy Thanksgiving! For more infomation visit:
