The Beauty of UnityCelebrating a Season of Collaboration “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” (Psalm 133:1). There is a sacred melody rising from the San Felipe Baptist Association, and it sounds like the voices of many churches singing as one. The recent Night of Worship on Sunday, April 19, was more than just an event; it was a vibrant tapestry of what is possible when the body of Christ chooses to collaborate. The atmosphere was god-honoring, humbling, and filled with a joy that only comes when the family of God gathers in harmony. A Symphony of Shared WorshipThe evening’s success was a testament to the gifted leaders who poured their hearts into the night. A special debt of gratitude is owed to Calvary Baptist Church for their warm hospitality. The worship was led with incredible grace by Kris Bransom (Calvary Baptist), Doni Carder (First Wallis), and Angel Velez (Twin Cities Community Church), who unified ten different congregations in a single song of praise. The spiritual weight of the evening was deepened as five pastors—Jeff Kluttz (FBC Needville), Chris Jones (Faith Fellowship of Fort Bend), Rickesh Patel (West End Baptist), Paul Cockrell (Waypoint Church), and Nate Sprinkle(Calvary Baptist Rosenberg)—led the assembly through the Lord’s prayer. This moment served as a beautiful reminder: while strategies and tasks are vital, they are always secondary to the transformative power of praying and worshipping together. Through these moments, relationships are built, trust is gained, and the values of shared responsibility come to life. A Vision for Shared SuccessThe heartbeat of the association is found in four beautiful ideas that invite every church to a seat at the table:
An Invitation to Join the MovementThe momentum is building, and every pastor and congregation is invited to jump into the stream of what God is doing! There is an urgent and exciting call to participate in these upcoming milestones:
It is becoming more and more clear that the Lord has positioned the churches of this association to fundamentally shape the spiritual temperature of undeveloped West Houston by planting 50 churches by 2050. Will you join in prayer and collaboration to help reach these neighbors today and in the days, weeks, and months to come? |
