The Beauty of Unity

The Beauty of Unity

Celebrating a Season of Collaboration

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” (Psalm 133:1).

There is a sacred melody rising from the San Felipe Baptist Association, and it sounds like the voices of many churches singing as one. The recent Night of Worship on Sunday, April 19, was more than just an event; it was a vibrant tapestry of what is possible when the body of Christ chooses to collaborate. The atmosphere was god-honoring, humbling, and filled with a joy that only comes when the family of God gathers in harmony.

A Symphony of Shared Worship

The evening’s success was a testament to the gifted leaders who poured their hearts into the night. A special debt of gratitude is owed to Calvary Baptist Church for their warm hospitality. The worship was led with incredible grace by Kris Bransom (Calvary Baptist), Doni Carder (First Wallis), and Angel Velez (Twin Cities Community Church), who unified ten different congregations in a single song of praise.

The spiritual weight of the evening was deepened as five pastors—Jeff Kluttz (FBC Needville), Chris Jones (Faith Fellowship of Fort Bend), Rickesh Patel (West End Baptist), Paul Cockrell (Waypoint Church), and Nate Sprinkle(Calvary Baptist Rosenberg)—led the assembly through the Lord’s prayer. This moment served as a beautiful reminder: while strategies and tasks are vital, they are always secondary to the transformative power of praying and worshipping together. Through these moments, relationships are built, trust is gained, and the values of shared responsibility come to life.

A Vision for Shared Success

The heartbeat of the association is found in four beautiful ideas that invite every church to a seat at the table:

  • Shared Experiences: Creating joint moments for education, equipping, and evangelism.

  • Shared Resources: Fostering an environment that celebrates the mutual exchange of tools and talents.

  • Shared Connections: Nurturing strategic partnerships that best serve every member church.

  • Shared Responsibilities: Cooperating to plant new churches, equip the next generation, and revitalize sister congregations.

An Invitation to Join the Movement

The momentum is building, and every pastor and congregation is invited to jump into the stream of what God is doing! There is an urgent and exciting call to participate in these upcoming milestones:

  • Impact the Next Generation: Splash Camp (June 18-20) is fast approaching! Space remains for pre-teen students to encounter the Gospel in a collaborative environment. Churches are encouraged to contact Randy Beck at randy@mywaypointchurch.com immediately to join this mission.

  • A Night of Mission and Inspiration: On July 26, 2026, the association will gather at Redeemer Community Church in Katy. This will be a celebratory night focused on missions, featuring stories of God’s work from the summer. It is an event not to be missed!

It is becoming more and more clear that the Lord has positioned the churches of this association to fundamentally shape the spiritual temperature of undeveloped West Houston by planting 50 churches by 2050. Will you join in prayer and collaboration to help reach these neighbors today and in the days, weeks, and months to come?

Splash Camp

Splash Camp

Splash Camp
June 18-20, 2026

Ready for a camp your kids won’t forget?

Splash Camp is an experience designed by churches as a resource for local churches of any size to reach preteens with the Gospel & God’s love.

2026 marks our fifth year of this great camp, designed uniquely for preteen children, completed 3rd-6th grade, to a 3 day-2 night experience that is packed with memory-making moments to enjoy with friends and filled with spiritual lessons geared for kids!

Collaboration matters

Our camp is a venture of love from a community of churches who join together to make this vision a reality.

The 2026 Splash Camp Core Team will lead to prayerfully craft a camp with environments where kids encounter Jesus alongside of leaders from your church.

San Felipe Baptist Association serves as vital part of our efforts, providing important organizational support and oversight for Splash Camp. SFBA finds an investment in Splash Camp fits their mission -

- to REACH THE LOST, RAISE THE NEXT GENERATION OF CHURCH LEADERS, AND REVITALIZE THE CHURCH.

SFBA not only gives oversight in financial accounting and leadership support, but they’re also providing financial investment to assist in efforts to keep costs more affordable for churches while keeping a quality camp experience.
